Langgam Pos - The Infrastructure Development Task Force for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) has announced that office and presidential furniture intended for President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) use at IKN has arrived at the Presidential Office in the capital city.
"The furniture has been prepared by the Presidential Secretariat and the State Secretariat. It arrived on Thursday (July 25) afternoon," said Danis H. Sumadilaga, Chairman of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force, during an interview with ANTARA at the Menara Pandang, Sumbu Barat Road, IKN, on Saturday.
Danis noted that the furniture was shipped from Jakarta and is now available in both the office space and the Presidential Palace within the IKN complex.
When asked about the types of furniture that have arrived, Danis admitted that he did not have detailed information, as the furniture is still wrapped in its packaging.
Danis mentioned that the furniture is intended for the President's working needs as well as for the first Cabinet Meeting at IKN.
The Task Force has made every effort to meet all the President's needs while working at IKN, though the final decision on office operations rests with President Jokowi.
"Of course, the decision for him to work here is up to him. But we are doing our best from our side to prepare the infrastructure, while the State Secretariat and the Presidential Secretariat handle the furniture. We aim to be fully prepared. So, whenever he decides to work or hold meetings here, God willing, we will be ready," he said.
It was previously reported that President Jokowi is set to begin working at IKN, East Kalimantan, from July 28-29, 2024, to inaugurate the Pulau Balang Bridge and review the progress of IKN's development.
