CFX Announces Two Members Achieve Full Licensing as Physical Crypto Asset Traders

Langgam Pos - PT Bursa Komoditi Nusantara (CFX) has announced that two of its members, Pluang through its partner PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang (BSC) and PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU), have officially obtained full licenses as Physical Crypto Asset Traders (PFAK) from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti).

This licensing achievement aligns with the regulations outlined in Bappebti Regulation No. 13 of 2022, which amends Bappebti Regulation No. 8 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Physical Crypto Asset Trading on Futures Exchanges.

The new rules aim to tighten the operational standards and requirements for crypto asset trading companies, with a focus on improving transaction aspects, security, and transparency.

With these stricter regulations, the goal is to ensure that the crypto asset trading industry operates more safely, effectively, and orderly, while protecting the interests of all parties involved, including investors.

"We are extremely proud and appreciate the dedication and hard work demonstrated by Pluang and PINTU. With this full license, they not only meet high operational standards but also show their commitment to creating a safe and trustworthy crypto asset trading ecosystem in Indonesia," said Subani, CEO of CFX.

According to him, this achievement marks a new milestone for the crypto industry in Indonesia, indicating significant progress in enhancing transparency and security in crypto asset trading.

With this full license, Pluang and PINTU are expected to offer better services to their users, enhance public trust, and advance the growth of the crypto industry domestically. Acting Head of Bappebti, Kasan, also stated that granting licenses to Pluang and PINTU is a crucial step in optimizing the crypto asset ecosystem.

"Specifically in the implementation of physical crypto asset trading on futures exchanges. Bappebti continues to encourage the performance of crypto asset trading in Indonesia to be maximized, ensuring a transparent, effective, and efficient crypto asset ecosystem," said Kasan.

"There are currently 13 CPFAK (Crypto Physical Asset Traders) with Bursa Member Approval Letters (SPAB) undergoing the process to become PFAK. CFX will remain committed to supporting its members in achieving the highest standards in operational and regulatory compliance, to ensure sustainable and competitive industry growth," he added.

The physical crypto asset trading market continues to grow significantly in Indonesia. Bappebti reported that the transaction value of crypto assets from January to June 2024 reached IDR 301.75 trillion.

Approximately 70 percent of Indonesia’s crypto asset trading volume comes from CFX members. This figure represents a 354.17 percent increase compared to the same period last year, which was IDR 66.44 trillion. The number of registered crypto asset customers reached 20.24 million by June 2024, with an average growth of about 430,500 customers per month since February 2021. Currently, there are 33 CPFAK and 2 PFAK companies registered.
