Langgam Pos - The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) has strongly denied the allegations directed at President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding a supposed plan for a three-term presidency and efforts to take control of other political parties. KSP emphasized that President Jokowi remains focused on his duties and respects the independence of political parties.
Responding to these allegations, KSP's Expert Staff, Asep Cuwantoro, firmly stated that the accusations are baseless and unfounded. Asep pointed out that the critics have failed to present any legal evidence or facts to support their claims.
"We firmly state that these allegations are untrue and groundless," Asep declared in a video statement in Jakarta on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Asep observed that these accusations are part of a systematic effort to undermine and downgrade President Jokowi, who continues to maintain a high approval rating.
"We see this as a systematic attempt to downgrade President Jokowi, whose approval rating remains high to this day," he said.
Furthermore, Asep reiterated that President Jokowi is committed to fulfilling his governmental duties as outlined until October 20, 2024.
"As staff members in the palace, we are constantly reminded to stay focused on achieving the government's established programs," Asep emphasized.
Asep also highlighted that as a figure of Javanese descent, President Jokowi is well aware of the ethics of communicating with political parties.
"As a Javanese individual, President Jokowi fully understands the ethics of communicating with political parties and greatly respects their internal independence," he remarked.
Asep added that the President's closeness to political parties is solely aimed at ensuring the smooth and successful implementation of government programs.
