Langgampos.com - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has hinted at the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle following the resignation of several ministers from the Indonesia Maju Cabinet.
During the inauguration of the Djuanda Flyover in Sidoarjo, East Java, on Friday, President Jokowi addressed the resignations of several ministers related to their participation in the 2024 Regional Elections (Pilkada).
"Yes, it's possible," he briefly responded when asked about the likelihood of a cabinet reshuffle in the near future.
President Jokowi confirmed that Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini had submitted her resignation, and the official decision on her replacement has already been signed.
However, he has yet to announce the name of Risma’s successor, who is expected to compete in the East Java gubernatorial race.
"I have signed the resignation decision, but the replacement will be announced shortly," Jokowi said.
Earlier, Presidential Chief of Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana confirmed that the acting replacement for Risma would be the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy.
Regarding Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, who is expected to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election, President Jokowi mentioned that although Pramono had also submitted his resignation, the official decision has not yet been finalized.
"I haven’t signed it yet," he stated.
President Jokowi emphasized that with the resignation of several ministers, a cabinet reshuffle is highly likely to happen soon.
